Privacy Policy
Stockhand (“we”, “the app”) is an offline-first inventory application for shops. This policy explains what data we handle when you use the Android app and related cloud services.
1. Data on your device
Shop inventory, parties, sales, and related business records are stored locally on your device (encrypted database). You control backups you create as files on the device or share yourself.
2. Account & signup (optional for offline use)
If you create a free cloud identity we may collect:
- Name and email address
- Google account email and display name, if you use Google Sign-In
- Authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in
Email one-time codes (OTP) are sent through our email provider (Resend) to verify your address.
3. Cloud safekeep (Pro)
If you subscribe to Pro (or Business) and upload a cloud backup, an encrypted snapshot of your books is stored on our servers and object storage. We do not use your inventory contents for advertising.
4. Purchases
In-app subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We receive purchase verification data needed to unlock paid features. We do not receive your full card details.
5. Service providers
We use infrastructure providers to run the API, database, file storage, and email (for example hosting, Postgres, object storage, and Resend). They process data only to provide those services.
6. Retention & deletion
Local data remains until you clear app data or uninstall. Cloud account and backups can be removed on request — email the contact below. We may retain limited logs for security and abuse prevention for a short period.
7. Children
Stockhand is intended for business users (18+). It is not directed at children.
